Overview

Aohi has a diverse movepool, allowing it to exert strong offensive pressure as well as have good support value. Despite its base stats, its special attacking movepool is generally considered weaker with a lack of powerful mental coverage. Luckily, Aohi has access to powerful physical attacks to better fit a damage-dealing role. Ignis Fatuus protects Aohi on aggressive teams, allowing it to dodge hits as long as it lands knockouts first. Warm Gift applies chip damage onto enemies trying to escape from Aohi or its partner, usually finding more value than Ignis on slower teams and more supportive sets.

Aohi has an unfortunate disconnect between its better attacking stat and the moves it has available to it, that causes the tem to favour physical sets of special ones. Aohi outruns its problems with sleep and evasion, being an elusive, powerful attacker.

Quetza-Leno and Matter Teleport are very high damage techniques that have a good shot of claiming or contributing to a KO and triggering Ignis - and sheesh, you should hope so, as if not Aohi will expire quickly under any reasonable threat. Hypnosis can also buy it and your ally some time, as can inflicting a burn through Fiery Soul, which can also quick-finish weakened enemies. Aohi tends to need a stamina item to keep up, Sweatband or Fake Beard are good shots.

Aohi loves neutrals that can help it get synergy onto Ignis, tems like Rhoulder, Skunch, and Mouflank. Chimurian is a tem that can help Aohi with earths and waters, and just generally deals a ton of damage to help get KOs for Ignis.
