Overview
Nessla combines powerful offensive techniques like Thunder Strike, Electric Storm and Aquatic Whirlwind with interesting support options. It is able to support both physical and special attackers with Stare and Sparks, speed control with Tesla Prison, or control action economy with Strangle. Nessla's main weaknesses come from its stat pool - Nessla is caught in the awkward position of being a middling-speed tem with unremarkable bulk, and to make matters worse its highest stat is a tie between ATK and SPATK, making offensive TV spreads very difficult to be valuable. The Electric Synthesize trait does allow it to pivot into electric moves freely, however, and it has a strong defensive and offensive typing, but this is also offset by Nessla's inability to compete with top-tier Waters at doing Water damage.

Description
(1.3 DUKE'S NOTES - LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE STARTED TO PREFER ELECTRIC SYNTHESIZE BUT HYDRO IS STILL GREAT FOR UP FRONT DAMAGE. ALSO, YOU CAN CONSIDER MOVING OFF OF SPARKS ENTIRELY FOR TESLA PRISON)
Nessla has all of the tools on paper to be an all-star: Great offensive and defensive typing, Aquatic Whirlwind, Thunder Strike, and either good water amplification or absorbption of electric attacks. Unfortunately, Nessla is let down by its poor base stat distribution. It's not quite fast enough, not quite bulky enough, and doesn't quite deal enough damage.
This set is designed to function as a dual-STAB special attacker that runs Aquatic Whirlwind and a good coverage move for Waters and Winds. You can swap out Hydrologist for Electric Synthesize if you need a pivot into electric attacks, but honestly, pivoting Nessla is a little bit like putting on a parasol in a tropical downpour.
Sparks is also an option to make Nessla more supportive, and it can also boost itself to gain power for Aquatic Whirlwind. Consider Fake Beard instead of Chamomile in this case.
Nessla likes helping tems with weaknesses to Earth, Fire, and Wind, and it is weak to Crystal, Nature, and Toxic, so it plays well with tems like Tortenite, that support its typing.
