Overview
Taifu has a huge special attack stat, but no special attack STAB techniques to use that stat with. Taifu has great coverage, but doesn’t quite hit hard enough. Taifu has support techniques, but its main draw is the Leech technique, which creates true damage and healing swings. Building around Taifu will enable Leech to win games it has no business winning.

Description
(1.3 DUKE'S NOTES - ALLERGIC SPREAD ON THIS DOES PRETTY GOOD DAMAGE, BEING ABLE TO STATUS PUSH WITH GAIA IS INTERESTING, AND TAIFU ALSO LEARNS MISOGI WHICH COULD BE INTERESTING TECH)
What a ride it's been for Taifu - after gaining Leech in the Arbury island update, Taifu rocketed to stardom amongst defensive teams, being able to outmuscle bad type matchups with a 70% pure damage and healing swing. Its star has fallen since, with the 0.9.4 patch leaving Leech's damage and healing at 25%, a severe reduction in Taifu's output.
Still, with proper setup, Taifu can be a very difficult tem to deal with. Bark Shield and Gaia keep its resources up and its bulk ever-growing, and Leech means that Taifu requires absolutely no offensive investment to be able to deal damage.
The big hill to climb with Taifu is becoming unkillable, and its partners should help it do that - Shuine, and Pigepic can both boost defensive stats and some can even provide Taifu with additional healing.
